Which saddles and seats can you find here?

This category includes different components on which you sit during training. Fitness bikes generally use a saddle on an adjustable seatpost. On a rowing machine, the seat usually moves along a rail on rollers. These different constructions mean the components are not interchangeable.

Saddles for exercise bikes and fitness bikes

A bike saddle can wear, deform or become damaged over time. Torn upholstery, compressed padding or an unstable mounting may make replacement necessary. If there is play, also check the saddle clamp, saddle holder, adjustment knob and seatpost.

Seats for rowing machines

A rowing machine’s seat moves along the rail with every stroke. A damaged or deformed seat can affect sitting comfort. If movement is stiff, jerky or noisy, also check the seat rollers, bearings and condition of the rail.

Are saddles and rowing seats universal?

Most fitness equipment saddles and seats are not universal. Mounting method, dimensions and shape may differ by brand and model. A rowing seat must also match its undercarriage and roller positions. Always check the listed models or original part number.

How do you find the right replacement component?

First identify the fitness machine’s brand, model number and, if possible, serial number. Then compare the underside, mounting points and dimensions with the existing saddle or seat. A part number from the manual or exploded diagram generally offers the greatest certainty.

Comfort and correct adjustment

On a fitness bike, comfort is not determined by the saddle alone. Saddle height, horizontal position and angle are also important. On a rowing machine, the seat and rollers must fit the rail correctly. An incorrectly installed or unsuitable component may cause instability, extra wear or uneven movement.

Replacing and checking safely

Install the new component with the correct fixing hardware and check that all connections are secure. A bike saddle must not turn or tilt. On a rowing machine, test without a full load first to check that the seat moves freely, straight and without excessive play along the rail.
